Gause Equipment Joins Evolution Ag

The owners of Gause Equipment in Lisbon announced that the company has joined the Evolution Ag family of Case IH dealerships. Pat and Mike Zehentbauer said that the company will continue to operate at its current location on Ohio 172 near Lisbon.

Pat Zehentbauer said, “When we made the decision to sell the business, Frank, Mike and I wanted to know that our customers and employees would remain the highest priority. Evolution Ag is a company that is working hard to provide a high level of customer service and treats its employees as partners. We believe they will be a great fit for our community and for our employees.”

Headquartered in Delaware, Ohio Evolution Ag LLC was formed in 2012 as the result of a merger between Agri-Trac Equipment in Utica, Hill Implement in Circleville and J.R. Equipment in Upper Sandusky and Delaware, Ohio. The company boasts a combined experience record of serving agricultural producers for over 175 years. Jim Henkel, Chairman of Evolution Ag said, “I have known Frank and Pat Zehentbauer for many years and our dealerships have helped each other numerous times. I am excited that Evolution Ag will be picking up the baton and carrying on the Case IH agricultural equipment line in the Lisbon and Columbiana county area.  They have taken great pride in serving four generations of farmers and we plan on continuing that tradition.”

Gause Equipment started as Gause and Richey Farm Supply in 1956 by Pat Zehentbauer’s father Charles J. Gause and his business partner Francis Richey. It later became Gause Equipment at Mr. Richey’s passing and the purchase of the company by Pat and Frank Zehentbauer. Gause Equipment was the first dealer in the area to become dealers for Cub Cadet and was ranked in the top 100 dealers nationally for 25 years.

Tom Hill, President of Evolution Ag said; “Farmers are asking for additional service and support for the technology that is on the farm today. We look forward to making available our precision farming and sprayer specialists as well as the entire Evolution Ag team to the agricultural community in Lisbon,  Columbiana and the surrounding counties.”

Dave Shipley, Principal of Evolution Ag said, “The most important asset in any dealership are the people who serve customers. There is a good team at Gause Equipment and we know that customers in the area have come to know and count on them for their parts, service and equipment needs. Evolution Ag has established a reputation for providing its employees advanced training and opportunities for advancement. Our goal is to be the employer of choice for those who want to work in the farm equipment business.”

Evolution Ag represents the Case IH lines of agricultural equipment including; tractors, combines, planters and tillage equipment as well as the self-propelled Patriot sprayer line. The company will continue to sell and service Cub Cadet, Unverferth, Kuhn, Woods, Knight, Grasshopper and Remlinger at the Lisbon location.
